The Bachmann EMD GP40 reproduces one of EMD's most successful second-generation four-axle diesel locomotives in HO Scale (1:87). Decorated for BNSF Railway No. 3012, this model is DCC Ready with a factory-installed 21-pin socket for installation of the decoder of your choice. Powered by a precision motor and all-wheel drive, it features a die-cast frame, directional headlights, separately applied handrails and horn details, see-through trucks with detailed sideframes, RP25 blackened metal wheels, and E-Z Mate® Mark II magnetic couplers. The locomotive performs best on 18-inch radius curves or greater.
