The Bachmann EMD SD40-2 reproduces one of EMD's best-selling six-axle diesel locomotives in HO Scale (1:87). Decorated for Santa Fe #5020, this model comes DCC Equipped with a factory-installed dual-mode NMRA-compliant decoder for speed, direction, and lighting control. Powered by a precision motor with all-wheel drive, the locomotive features a die-cast frame, highly detailed body with precision graphics, directional headlights, separately applied handrails and horn details, see-through trucks with detailed sideframes, blackened RP25 metal wheels, and E-Z Mate® Mark II magnetic couplers. It performs best on 18-inch radius curves or greater.
