The Bachmann USRA 0-6-0 Steam Locomotive with Short Haul Tender represents one of the standard steam switchers designed by the United States Railroad Administration (USRA) beginning in 1918. Built as a light switching locomotive, the prototype served extensively in freight yards and light freight service for many railroads across North America. This HO Scale (1:87) model is decorated for Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis (N.C. & St. L.) No. 152 and features an operating puffing smoke unit, operating headlight, precision motor, die-cast chassis, hidden drivetrain, metal siderods, separately applied handrails, operating spoked drivers, blackened RP25 metal wheels, and E-Z Mate® Mark II magnetic couplers. It is also designed with an electrically isolated motor for DCC decoder installation and performs best on 18-inch radius curves or greater.
