Root is an adventure and war game in which players 2 to 4 (1 to 6 with the 'Riverfolk' expansion) fight for control of a vast desert. The nefarious Marquise de gato has taken advantage of the great forest, with the intention of reaping its riches. Under his rule, the many forest creatures have come together. This Alliance will seek to strengthen its resources and subvert the cat rule. In this effort, the Alliance can ask for the help of wagabons moving along the most dangerous roads in the forest.
