The ship has met with disaster, and the surviving sailors and officers must reach safety using a fleet of unreliable lifeboats. In Lifeboats, players negotiate, cooperate, vote and sometimes betray one another while trying to rescue as many of their crew members as possible.
During every round, players vote to decide which boat develops a leak, which lifeboat moves closer to the islands and how the passengers should be rearranged. If a fully occupied boat springs another leak, its passengers may have to decide who gets thrown overboard. Alliances can be useful, but they may change without warning when space becomes limited.
Designed by Ronald Wettering, this classic nautical strategy game combines negotiation, voting, tactical placement and social interaction. The player who successfully brings the most valuable crew members to the islands earns the highest score and wins the game. It is an engaging choice for parties, family game nights and tabletop groups that enjoy highly interactive games
